Product descriptions in your brand voice

Turn product attributes into on-brand PDP copy, bullets and meta data, without inventing claims.

What you need

  • Your tone of voice guide (or 3 descriptions you love)
  • Product attributes: name, materials/ingredients, sizes, use, price
  • Claims you are allowed to make (and banned words)
  • Target keyword

The prompt

You are a senior ecommerce copywriter for [BRAND], a UK [CATEGORY] brand. Write product page copy in our voice.

OUR VOICE
[PASTE TONE OF VOICE GUIDE OR 3 EXAMPLE DESCRIPTIONS]
Words we never use: [LIST]

PRODUCT FACTS (use ONLY these; do not invent ingredients, materials, results or certifications)
[PASTE ATTRIBUTES]

APPROVED CLAIMS: [LIST] TARGET KEYWORD: [KEYWORD]

Write:
1. Product title (max 70 characters, keyword near the start).
2. A 2-sentence hook that leads with the customer benefit, not the feature.
3. Description of 120-160 words in UK English, short paragraphs, keyword used once naturally.
4. 5 benefit-led bullet points, each starting with a bolded 2-3 word label.
5. "How to use" in 3 steps (if relevant).
6. Meta title (max 60 characters) and meta description (max 155 characters).
7. A list of any facts you needed but did not have, so I can check them. Never fill gaps with guesses.

Avoid hype words (revolutionary, game-changing), medical or environmental claims not in the approved list, and American spellings.

Replace everything in [BRACKETS]. Use a business or team account with training on your data switched off, and remove customer personal data before pasting.

What you get

Ready-to-paste title, hook, description, bullets, how-to-use, meta title and description, plus a short list of missing facts to check before publishing.

Tips

  • Run it on 3 products first and refine the voice section until the output needs little editing.
  • For regulated categories (food, cosmetics, supplements) always have claims checked against ASA/CAP and labelling rules.
